Abstract
Being different from the traditional TL phosphor, LiF:Mg, Ti, LiF:Mg, Cu, P-TLD is sublinear in its response to gamma rays instead of supralinear. A model is proposed in this paper to explain theoretically the origination of nonlinearity of LiF-TLD. It is shown that there exist non-emission competitive centres which influence the intrinsic parameters of crystal as well as the nonlinearity of the gamma -ray response. Experimental results agree with the model. Keywords
