Abstract
The bistable behaviour of a two-beam interferometer based on an absorbing beam-splitter yielding in-phase interference outputs is pointed out. A primitive prototype exhibiting successive bistable loops with a continuous-wave beam of milliwatt powers and arbitrary wavelength is also described. Keywords
