THE MEASUREMENT OF FORCES IN TWISTED WOOL ROVINGS

Abstract
A description is given of an apparatus which may be used to study the rheological behaviour of twisted rovings. Results are reported of a first survey of the effect of twist and speed on load—extension properties. The work was done on a three dram, 64s Australian Merino having a 4 per cent oil content.
