Abstract
In the present paper a peculiar chromosome with an achromatic region and a linear satellite has been studied comparatively in many species of catarrhine monkeys. A difference in the length of the arm without the achromatic region was observed in the different genera. The taxonomic and evolutionary interest of this chromosome is discussed. Keywords
