A Clinical Study of Male Adolescent Sexual Offenders

Abstract
A study comparing twenty-four male juvenile sex offenders and twenty-four other delinquents matched for age and social class showed few differences between the two groups. The differences indicate a higher prevalence of middle class boys, lower intellectual functioning and less incidence of truancy, alcohol abuse and temper tantrums among the sex offenders. The possible explanations of such findings are discussed.
