Abstract
Partial-wave calculations of electron and positron scattering by cobalt and bismuth are presented, and compared with the experimental results of Goldemberg, Pine, and Yount. A physical description of the scattering process is given which throws light on the general behavior of the calculational cross sections. Their dependence on incident energy, and on the assumed nuclear charge distribution is discussed. Keywords
