The Osmotic Properties of Medusae

Abstract
Medusae show no osmotic regulation. The total water of the jelly disc is osmotically free; it follows that nearly all the electrolyte present is also uncombined. Gortner’s statement that the medusae contain 99·8 per cent, water is contradicted.Keywords
