Abstract
The following one-dimensional scalar equation arisingin the BGK model is studied. Methods of resolvent integration are used to obtain the so-called singular eigenfunction expansions for a certain Banach space of functions. Functional calculus for two related operators is then developed and application of this formalism is used to obtain solutions to the slip-flow problem. Keywords
