Doubly charged argon clusters and their critical size

Abstract
The electron impact ionization of neutral Ar clusters results in the formation of stable doubly charged Ar2+ n only if their size exceeds a critical value. The observed minimum cluster size for argon is Ar2+ 91 . This result is compared with theoretical predictions.Keywords
