Abstract
The consistency in terms of viscosity index and the rheology of mixtures of cacao butter with different fats was examined with a Stormer viscometer. Most bases showed shear rate thickening at low stresses and marked fall in consistency between 35°–40°. The drug release from them was related inversely to the consistency of the bases. Keywords
