Abstract
It is shown that the lattice Boltzmann equation arising from the basic lattice-gas scheme for Navier-Stokes equations can be extended in such a way as to include the effects of a two-dimensional magnetic field. This offers the possibility of developing new computational schemes for the efficient simulation of incompressible magnetohydrodynamic flows. Keywords
