Abstract
Laying down networks of neurons to form the nervous system in the developing embryo depends on numerous positional cues that direct extending axons to their target cells. In their Perspective, Imondi and Thomas discuss new work ( Lyuksyutova et al.) that identifies a member of the Wnt family of signaling molecules as a crucial cue that directs commissural axons of the spinal cord to "go anterior."Keywords
