Abstract
Differential scanning calorimetry is used as the main method to investigate the effects of relaxation on the glass transition and crystallization of bulk metallic glass. It is found that the glass transition and crystallization behavior as well as their apparent activation energy are markedly affected by the preannealing induced relaxation. The relation between the glass transition, crystallization kinetics, and the structural relaxation is explored.
