Adjuvant Effect of Cholera Enterotoxin on the Immune Response of the Mouse to Sheep Red Blood Cells

Abstract
Purified enterotoxin of Vibrio cholerae, when given to mice intravenously with sheep red blood cells, caused a dose-related increase in antibody-forming cells in the spleens. A maximal increase of 13-fold was observed with a 2-μg dose of the enterotoxin.
