Abstract
A 3500 wire drift chamber system has been built for a very large iron toroidal spectrometer which will be used at Fermilab. The chambers are trapezoidal, with each covering one-eighth of the face of an eight-foot-diameter toroid. The readout system was designed to give moderate resolution but provide excellent multi-hit capability. Keywords
