Abstract
Susceptibility measurements are used to fit the two parameters of a phenomenological model based upon a nearly Lorentzian density of states. The model is then employed to calculate the single-impurity contribution to the specific heat of Cu:Fe as a function of temperature and magnetic field. The model is also briefly applied to Au:V.Keywords
