Dissipative Trapped-Electron Instability in Cylindrical Geometry

Abstract
We show that the essential ingredients of the trapped-electron instability can be present in a cylindrical geometry. A linear instability theory, a simple physical explanation, and the results of an experiment are presented to support this.Keywords
