Abstract
The quantum electrodynamical effects of helium fine-structure splitting have been studied. The Douglass and Kroll result at order is obtained in a simple way using the time-ordered perturbation technique. The logarithmic correction at order , as calculated by Tao Zhang is rederived and verified. Keywords
