A relation between heat of adsorption and breakthrough time for low concentrations of organic vapors in air passing a bed of charcoal at room temperature

Abstract
The concentration of pollutants in the breathing zone of exposed persons can be determined by adsorption of the pollutants. During sampling the pollutants must be trapped. A simple model was developed which predicts with fair accuracy the amount of adsorbent necessary to trap the pollutant molecules.
