Abstract
The electrical resistivities rho of liquid Eu and Yb are evaluated in the framework of a single-site matrix approach. The Fermi energy EF and the diameter 2kF of the Fermi sphere are determined by a simple approximation to the density of states and the relation kF2=2mEF. Using structure factors measured by Waseda (1977) for two different temperatures we also calculate the temperature coefficient of rho . The agreement with experiment is quite satisfactory. Keywords
