Zur Wirksamkeit von Praziquantel bei der experimentellen Cysticercose und Hydatidose

Abstract
Praziquantel besitzt bei der experimentellen Cysticercose bei Maus, Kaninchen, Schaf und Rind eine bemerkenswerte Wirkung. Nach ein bis mehrmaliger Applikation wirkt es zuverlässig gegen die infektionstüchtigen Stadien von Hymenolepis nana, Cysticercus fasciolaris, C. pisiformis, C. tenuicollis und C. bovis. Am Beispiel von H. nana-Cysticercoiden und C. fasciolaris bei der Maus zeigt sich, daß die älteren Entwicklungsstadien gegenüber Praziquantel empfindlicher sind als die jüngeren. Gegen die Tetrathyridien von Mesocestoides corti in der Maus erwies sich Praziquantel nur nach intraperitonealer Gabe einer öligen Suspension als wirksam. Darüber hinaus tötet Praziquantel die infektionstüchtigen Protoscolices von Echinococcus multilocularis in Nagetieren ab, während das Wachstum der Hydatiden unbeeinflußt bleibt. Praziquantel is active against cysticerci in experimentally infected mice, rabbits, sheep and cattle. After single or repeated application the infectious stages of Hymenolepis nana, Cysticercus fasciolaris, C. pisiformis, C. tenuicollis and C. bovis were killed. The compound is more active against older than against younger stages as demonstrated with H. nana-cysticercoids and C. fasciolaris in mice. Against the tetrathyridia of Mesocestoides corti in mice praziquantel is only effective after an intraperitoneal application of an oily suspension. Praziquantel shows also activity in rodents against the infectious protoscolices of Echinococcus multilocularis but failed to inhibit the growth of the hydatid cysts.
