Abstract
We point out a mistake in a recent paper [Tan, Lu, and Harrison, Phys. Rev. A 46, R3613 (1992)] and show that, contrary to the authors’ claim, lasing without inversion is impossible in a closed V system driven by a single coherent field only. Keywords
