Abstract
The conc. of Pb in human whole blood was approx. 3 times that in the plasma of normal subjects and of patients with Pb poisoning. The method of estimation was that previously described (Biochem. Jour. 29, 1851). In stored blood the ratio of Pb conc. in whole blood to that in plasma was slightly higher than in fresh blood. In rabbits, absorbing Pb by mouth the conc. of Pb in the plasma was equal to or greater than that in whole blood. The lead in normal human blood was not extracted by ether. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
