Abstract
To the Editor: Although observations that Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is secreted in the milk of lactating animals and that it passes to the suckling young have been made,1 2 3 no similar findings, to our knowledge, have been reported in human beings. Recently, two women who had smoked marijuana daily while nursing their infants for the previous seven and eight months, respectively, brought samples of their milk and urine samples from their infants and requested analysis for their THC content. Mother 1 smoked marijuana in a pipe once a day, and Mother 2 simoked marijuana in a pipe seven times a day. . . .Keywords
