Abstract
Little attention is paid to the cot in cot deaths. We report two cases of cot deaths which occurred in practically identical circumstances, with the infants lying face downwards in soft woven-type carrying baskets. The infants were probably unable to turn their heads to one side to maintain ventilation, due to the construction of these soft baskets with soft mattresses. This probably played an important role in the deaths. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
