On a Gas-Phase Electron Diffraction Study of Vinyl Chloride

Abstract
The molecular structure of vinyl chloride has been determined by the technique of gas‐phase electron diffraction. The structural parameters, with estimated uncertainties, were found to be r (C=C) = 1.355 (0.008) Å , r (CCl)=1.728 (0.007) Å , r (CH)=1.078 (0.011) Å , and CCCl=121.1° (0.9°).
