Abstract
A redefinition of the Leonard term, the subgrid scale cross term, and the subgrid scale Reynolds stress is proposed, consistent with a general statement concerning turbulent stresses. The main advantage of the new redefined stresses consists of their term by term Galilean invariance. Keywords
