Abstract
The aim of this study is to estimate incidence rates of onchocerciasis from skin-snip biopsies, based on incomplete data obtained in field surveys, with consideration of false negatives. The method of maximum likelihood is employed and the effect of false negatives on the incidence rates is discussed. Keywords
