Association of the Chronic Diseases in the Same Person and Their Association with Overweight

Abstract
On the basis of data collected in the Eastern Health District of Baltimore it was shown that 14% of the total population is affected by chronic diseases, but that 1/3 of all medical calls and 1/4 of all hospital admissions are because of chronic diseases. Statistically significant increases in associations were seen between heart disease and gall bladder disease, heart disease and diabetes, hypertensive vascular disease and arthritis, and psychoneurosis and gall bladder disease. No significant associations were seen between heart disease and arthritis, heart disease and varicose veins, arthritis and gall bladder disease, arthritis and varicose veins, arthritis and diabetes, and arthritis and psychoneurosis. Chronic conditions associated with overweight are heart disease, hypertensive vascular disease, arthritis, diabetes, and gall bladder disease.Keywords
