Abstract
The Internal-External control scales of Rotter and Levenson, and the Social Desirability scale of Marlowe and Crowne were completed by 71 male and 85 female students. Factor analysis clearly confirmed the three-factor structure underlying Levenson's questionnaire, while further analyses revealed close agreement with her findings on scale characteristics and interrelationships. Some new evidence for the multidimensionality of Rotter's scale was also presented. Keywords
