BVJHK observations of the dwarf Cepheid SZ Lynx

Abstract
BVJHK light curves of the dwarf Cepheid SZ Lyn are presented. We confirm the findings of other observers that there are small cycle to cycle variations in the light curves. The photometry coupled with radial velocity observations is used to determine a radius of 2.76(+ 0.11, − 0.46)$$R_\odot$$ and hence an absolute magnitude of Mv = 1.71 (–0.19, +0.48) and a mass of 1.57 (+0.17, –0.66)$$M_\odot$$. Our results are consistent with the post-main sequence, high mass hypothesis for the evolutionary status of dwarf Cepheids.
