Abstract
1. Fat which is in solution in water can be absorbed by fresh water mussels.2. Such absorption is accomplished by the epithelium of the intestine and also most probably by that of the gills, mantle and foot.3. Fat is transported both by the blood corpuscles and by the plasma directly. Keywords
