Abstract
In connection with studies on lignin, which is probably formed by dehydrogenation of coniferyl alcohol by an oxygen-laccase system, the dehydrogenation polymers obtained from guaiacol by chemical and enzymatic treatment were investigated. Silver oxide and potassium ferricyanide gave polymers in which the 2 phenol units were linked together with ether bonds. Sodium persulfate and an oxygen-laccase system gave polymers with C-C bonds. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
