Abstract
Rats receiving a normal diet with 100 mgm. of thyroid gland per day plus 10.8 I. U. of vit. B1 or 500 [gamma] of vit. B1 subcutan. per day, showed a definitely lower vit. B1 storage in the liver and kidney than rats on the same diet without the thyroid gland. Hyperthyroid rats receiving 500 7 of vit. B1 per day eliminated the same amt. of vit. B1 in the urine as normal rats receiving 500 7 but showed a 35.7% reduction of vit. B1 storage in the whole liver per unit of rat wt.This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
