Abstract
Potassium–graphite intercalates (C24K) can act as a catalyst for the reduction of olefins and alkynes. C24K is a very efficient catalyst for the isomerization of cis-stilbene to trans-stilbene. C24K can promote deuterium exchange with hydrogens carried by hydrocarbons having an acidity equal to or higher than that of benzene. C24K can condense benzene to biphenyl and can isomerize 2-alkynes to 1-alkynes at low temperature. Keywords
