Abstract
SUMMARY Human adrenal tissue slices were incubated with C-19 steroids known to serve as precursors of the natural oestrogens. No convincing evidence for aromatization was obtained, although the tissues were able to carry out the transformation of testosterone to 11β,17β-dihydroxyandrost-4-en-3-one.
