Abstract
This paper proposes a framework for initiating community change that stresses both task and process goals of community practice. The Episode of Purposive Change has five phases: (1) Assessing Antecedent Conditions, (2) Preparing for Change, (3) Planning Change, (4) Implementing Change and (5) Assessing Change Residue and its Implications. Each component is examined in terms of task and process considerations. A summary chart depicts both task and process goals for each phase of the change process. Keywords
