Abstract
Models for target domains in the high accuracy template‐based modeling category were assessed according to a number of criteria evaluating the quality of the main‐chain prediction (GDT‐HA), predicted sequence alignment (AL0), and side‐chain rotameric state. A new criterion was introduced, the quality of the model for use in solving a crystal structure by molecular replacement. There is good evidence that modeling adds value to the template structures, particularly when multiple templates are available.
