Abstract
Triphasic conditions (solid and two immiscible liquid reactants) when compared with more commonly employed biphasic ones (solid and immiscible liquids along with a cosolvent), significantly enhance the catalytic activity and para selectivity in the hydroxylation/oxidation of various hydrophobic organic compounds (viz. toluene, anisole, benzyl alcohol, cyclohexanol etc.)over crystalline, microporous, titanium silicate, TS-1, using dilute H2O2(30 mass%, aq.).Keywords
