Phalangeal Osteoid Osteoma in the Hand

Abstract
Three examples of osteoid osteoma of the phalanges have presented in our clinic in one year. The pain was the most significant clinical feature. The pain was either unrelieved or incompletely relieved by aspirin. Routine x-rays in the early stages of the disease were unhelpful in diagnosis. It is recommended that bone scanning is a useful diagnostic aid.
