Abstract
The advantages of chest microfilm technique as compared with standard teleroentgenology are the saving of film and the fact that a technician is able to carry out the examination near the place of employment. The Rohrer-Kahlstorf method for heart volume estimation applied to microfilm technique was elaborated. It shows the same degree of accuracy as the corresponding teleroentgen measurements. In both cases the error of method scarcely amounts to 5% of the heart volume. Keywords
