Abstract
The Feigenbaum attractor is completely described by a scaling function. However, there is a redundancy in this scaling function, which leads to different scaling functions emerging from different constructions. In this note how to eliminate the redundancy using the analogy with a Hamiltonian for a 1D spin system is shown; numerical results support the statement that this description is unique. Keywords
