Abstract
The paper is a mathematical study of the oscillations occurring in a pair of mutually coupled windings¿the primary and secondary of a transformer¿when one of the terminals is subjected to the impact of a traveling wave. Solutions for grounded and open terminal conditions are obtained, but the general solution for any impedances at the terminals is not attempted, except for the initial distribution. Keywords
