Light-induced refractive index change in some F coloured alkali halide crystals

Abstract
The frequency-dependent refractive index change is considered for some alkali halide crystals containing F colour centres. The F centre concentration was approximately the same in each crystal. The authors observed that, for the crystals studied, the refractive index change was strongest in KBr.Keywords
