Abstract
An increase in the prevalence and presentation of bulimia nervosa has led to the development of improved treatment strategies, both somatic and psychotherapeutic. Cognitive-behavioral group psychotherapy has evolved as an effective modality for the symptomatic management of this disorder. Clinical features that may impact on the selection of patients and conduction of treatment, potentially influencing outcome, are reviewed. Lastly, the authors present a detailed program design for a time-limited outpatient program. Keywords
