Abstract
The non-linear spinor realisation of global supersymmetry is consistently coupled to supergravity in (2+1) dimensions. The resulting local invariance permits gauging away of the spinor field, while giving an effective mass to the spin-3/2 component of supergravity. The latter was non-dynamical when massless, but with mass it corresponds to a massive spin-1/2 excitation. Keywords
