Abstract
Potential advantages and disadvantages of using random lattices rather than regular lattices to investigate non-perturbative phenomena are discussed. In particular we explain why the continuum limit of some field theories on random and regular lattices could be different and discuss the possibility of alleviating the fermion doubling problem on a random lattice. Results are given for the continuum limit of the Ising model and the behavior of fermions on random lattices. Keywords
