Abstract
Mossbauer spectra of 57Fe in the Cd-substituted Ni ferrite system have been obtained in the temperature range 300-900K. The quadrupole interaction on the octahedral Fe3+ ions was investigated as a function of Cd content. No detectable variation in the value of the quadrupole splitting was observed, only a superposition of three different Mossbauer spectra appeared due to the statistical distribution of Cd ions in A tetrahedral sites. Keywords
