To the Editor: The current leading etiologic candidate for acquired immune-deficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a new infectious agent.1 However, it is unlikely that this complex syndrome is the result of a single factor, and investigators of AIDS should consider additional possibilities.2 A possibility that has been mentioned briefly but not considered in detail is that allogeneic leukocytes could be a contributing factor in the induction of AIDS among homosexual men.3 , 4 How could allogeneic leukocytes be transferred between homosexuals?
