Dialyzing Membrane for Improved Spinal Cord Maintenance in Roller Tube Cultures

Abstract
In the growth of chick embryo spinal cords in roller tubes, the usual avian plasma clot is replaced by a covering strip of Visking dialyzing membrane (Van Waters and Rogers, Inc., No. 25225). The membrane flattens the explants and facilitates microscopic observations. Myelin is demonstrable after 6 days of culture.
